South Coast Music Society, Batemans Bay



We are excited that the South Coast Music Society is in it 25th year in 2019.


Our concerts in our 2019 series are:


Sunday 24 February:  Spina-Benignetti Piano Duo – Recital for Four Hands
Sunday 26 May:  Celeste Haworth, Mezzo Soprano
Sunday 29 September:  Kristian Chong (piano) and Sophie Rowell (violin)
Sunday 1 December: Chrysalis (Viola, flute and harp)

The South Coast Music Society, Batemans Bay welcomes Members, Subscribers and patrons for their 2019 Concert Series.

In 2019 the following will apply:  Membership $25, Pensioner Membership $20, Premium Subscriber $137 (includes entry to four concerts, membership and a complimentary program for each of the four concerts), Subscriber $125 (includes entry to four concerts and membership). Subscriber tickets are transferrable but not refundable.


Sunday 28 October Orava Quartet, a brilliant young string quartet, which has recorded for Deutsche Gramophon and participated in the 2017 International Festival of Chamber Music in Townsville in July directed by Piers Lane.

Sunday 23 September – Tony Lee is the winner of the Nancy Weir Best Australian Pianist Prize of the 2016 Sydney International Piano Competition.  He performs regularly across Europe, China, USA, New Zealand and Australia.

Sunday 20 May –  Chamber soloists from The Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra, consisting of 11 musicians (strings and wind). This concert was on the final day of the Eurobodalla River of Art. 

Sunday 25 February – The José Carbó Trio.

All concerts are Sundays at 3.00 pm at St Bernard’s Church, Batehaven.  Join us for refreshments at interval and a free Q and A after each performance.

Tickets at the door (cash) are $35 adult, $30 members and pensioners.  Children free.  Book online and walk in.

SPECIAL OFFER FROM SCMS FOR 2019 –     One adult accompanying a school child/children will be admitted FREE to concerts.  This initiative is to achieve an aim of the Society – the exposure of children to fine music.  Please register at the door on arrival.
