Dimity Hall, Julian Smiles and David Fung

A violin, a cello and a piano: chamber music at its best. Three stellar Australian musicians collaborate across different combinations to present an intimate program. David Fung, internationally recognised for his Mozart interpretations, starts with the profound clarity of Mozart’s Piano Sonata in F major, K.280. Dimity Hall (violin) joins David to play Clara Schumann’s exquisite ‘Three Romances’. Then Julian Smiles (cello) teams with David to play music by Mendelssohn and Robert Schumann. To finish, they come together in Beethoven’s masterpiece, Piano Trio Op.97, the ‘Archduke’. The afternoon promises a heart-warming musical hug.
