In 2017 the following will apply: Membership $25, Pensioner Membership $20, Premium Subscriber $137 (includes entry to four concerts, membership and a complimentary program for each of the four concerts), Subscriber $125 (includes entry to four concerts and membership). 1 LONDON KLEZMER QUARTET – SUNDAY 19 FEBRUARY 2017 – BOOK HERE

The London Klezmer Quartet (LKQ) delves into the celebratory and soulful Jewish music of eastern Europe, bringing you klezmer at its most beguiling and seductive. Bringing fresh life to an almost-lost folk tradition, LKQ’s old and new melodies on violin, clarinet, accordion and double bass take you on a journey from the Baltic to the Black Sea and beyond. “A fantastic sound with inventive arrangements, virtuosity, exciting original tunes and soulful playing.” (Songlines Magazine). “Dizzyingly dynamic playing… a band at the forefront of the European klezmer revival” (fROOTS). “The tradition is safe in the hands of the next generation.” (Sunday Times)
2 STREETON TRIO – SUNDAY 28 MAY 2017 – BOOK HERE
Described by Musica Viva as “Australia’s most internationally successful piano trio,” the Streeton Trio was formed in 2008, in Geneva, Switzerland. We welcome three young Australian musicians – Emma Jardine (violin), Umberto Clerici (cello) and Benjamin Kopp (piano). The trio has studied intensively with the world’s leading musicians. Winner of the 2011 Music Viva Chamber Music Competition, the Streeton Trio has been laureate of several prestigious international competitions, and has won scholarships from Australia Council for the Arts, Arts Victoria and Ian Potter Cultural Trust. Named after the Australian Impressionist painter, Sir Arthur Streeton, the trio has received great acclaim for performances in international venues. The trio was Fine Music Ensemble in Residence at the European Chamber Music Academy, Switzerland 2010 – 2013. They have released four CDs to great acclaim and will play works from Haydn, Mendelssohn and Smetana.
3 ANDREY GUGNIN – Sunday 13 AUGUST 2017 – BOOK HERE
Winner, Sydney International Piano Competition 2016. Andrey graduated from the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory in 2010, where he studied under Professor Vera Gornostaeva; since 2016 he has been studying at the International Piano Academy Lake Como with Stanislav Ioudenitch and William Nabore. Andrey is the winner of the Ernest Hutcheson First Prize of the 2016 Sydney International Piano Competition. He is also the winner of the Eileen Joyce Best Overall Concerto Prize, the Miriam Hyde Best 19th or 20th Century Concerto Prize, the Hephzibah Menuhin Best Violin and Piano Sonata Prize and the Roger Smalley Best Preliminaries Round 1 Recital Prize. Andrey will play works from Bach, Schubert, Shostakovich, Kieran Harvey and Stravinsky.
4 OPERA GALA – SUNDAY 19 NOVEMBER 2017 – BOOK HERE
Three rising stars who graduated from Pacific Opera, the Young Artists’ opera company in Sydney, will entertain us with arias and ensembles from well-known operas such as Mozart’s Magic Flute and Bizet’s Carmen. Laura King, an Australian-born soprano is the proud winner of the Mietta Song Competition 2016 and has had experience and success in both Oratorio and Opera such as her role of Countess in Marriage of Figaro and the Woodpecker in Janáček’s The Cunning Little Vixen, both with Pacific Opera. Karuna Kourkova has undertaken several international tours with the likes of Glenn Amer and the world music group MOJ, performing extensively throughout Asia to critical and public acclaim. Michael Butchard is quickly establishing himself as the young lyric tenor to watch. He is a graduate of Royal College of Music, has a broad concert and oratorio repertoire and experience performing for several high-profile opera companies throughout the world such as English Touring Opera and the Woodhouse Opera Festival, Surrey, UK.
